This qualification reflects the role of individuals who service, diagnose and repair electrical systems and components in vehicles in the automotive electrical service and repair industry.

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements

Students require a completed Year 10 or equivalent.

Students must have completed Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620) or equivalent, to be able to gain entry into Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (26 weeks).

Minimum Age to Apply ⇒ Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age, or turning 18 years of age prior to commencement of their study.

Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum)

If a student’s first language is not English, they must have an International English Language Testing System (IELTS), academic module – score of 5.5 with no individual score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

NOTE: All applicants from AL3 countries must sit an IELTS test.
