Course Overview

This qualification has been designed for potential and current international students. They will be involved in classroom-based training in a full time capacity to gain the qualification. The course is designed for individuals who are working or wish to work within community and/or residential settings. It reflects the role of workers who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

  3. CHCCOM005 Communicate and work in health or community services
  4. CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people
  5. CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically
  6. HLTAAP001 Recognise healthy body systems
  7. HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care

  2. CHCAGE005 Provide support to people living with dementia
  3. CHCCCS011 Meet personal support needs

Academic Entry Requirements

 Must have satisfactorily completed an equivalent of Australian year 12 or higher.

Minimum Age to Apply All international students must be at least 18 years of age or above to study at Central Australian College.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Must have IELTS score of 6 (or equivalent) or satisfactory completion of CAC entry test, or completion of an ELICOS program.
