Course Overview

Certificate III In Automotive Mechanical Technology graduates will have the skills to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive retail, service, and repair industry. Candidates will gain the knowledge and skills to diagnose faults catering to light motor vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes.
Students of this course will learn about the complex faults in light vehicle engines, suspensions, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other electrical systems and components. Students will be able to develop skills and ensure they are competent to perform at industry standards.
This course provides advanced training for automotive technicians who are eager to learn the basics to take the next step to learn the technical and diagnostic skills to build their careers in the automotive industry.

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply The age range of the learner is a minimum of 18 years of age.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Either a minimum IELTS (academic or general version) test score of 5.5 or equivalent for direct entry into this VET course. Note that IELTS results older than two years are not acceptable.
OR, Evidence that they have studied in English for at least five years in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the blic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States.

MMC will also accept equivalent test results from the following specified English language tests – TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, and Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE). Specific academic requirements Satisfactorily completed year 12 (Higher Secondary School or equivalent) level of studies.
