Course Overview

If you are thinking of starting your own business or entering the corporate world where you’ll be making commercial decisions in a business environment, ICAE’s Certificate IV in Business is a great place to learn the fundamentals. You’ll learn about what is required in the role of an administrator or project officer in the fast-paced world of private enterprise, and how to put together and evaluate business cases.

?This qualification is suited to those who are working, or wish to gain employment as administrators and project officers. In these roles, individuals use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

To attain this qualification the following 12 units of competency must be completed:

  3. BSBTWK401 Build and maintain business relationships
  4. BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs

  6. BSBXCM401 Apply communication strategies in the workplace

Elective Units:

  1. BSBPEF401 Manage personal health and wellbeing
  2. BSBPEF402 Develop personal work priorities 
  3. BSBCMM411 Make presentations 
  4. BSBOPS405 Organise business meetings 
  5. SITXCCS015 Enhance customer service experiences 
  6. SITXFIN009 Manage finances within a budget

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply ICAE requires all international student to be at least 18 years of age or older. 
Academic Entry Requirements

Must be a high school graduate in your home country or hold an equivalent qualification.

Applicants with significant working experience may also be considered. 

Language Requirement
English Language Requirements All potential applicants must be adequately proficient in spoken and written English.
