Course Overview

This course is designed for automotive mechanics performing advance design and diagnosis on automotive mechanical or electric systems or students who have completed a Certificate IV in Automotive. In this course students will learn how to design and modify as well as analyse, diagnose and evaluate automotive electrical and mechanical systems.

When you complete this Diploma, you will also be able to develop and document specifications and procedures and the overhaul engines and the associated engine components, however, you will not receive a trade certificate or be able to work as a fully qualified mechanic without achieving the Provisional Skills Assessment requirements of Trades Recognition Australia.

Minimum Age to Apply
Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of course commencement.
Academic Entry Requirements
Must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent level of schooling or a Certificate III or higher qualification with an Australian institution.
Some prospective students may be asked to undertake an LLN assessment or enrolment interview prior to acceptance.
