Course Overview

The CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is designed to teach you how to prepare and administer a building scope, quote and prepare the schedules required to successfully manage building project as well as honing your management skills. You will be provided with in depth knowledge of applying building codes on conduct. Manage, supervise, and complete the construction of low and medium-rise buildings.
The course prepares you for all aspects of Building management and provides the qualifications required to apply for your Building Licence (please note different States have different licensing requirements.)
Upon successful completion of this course, students may be eligible for exemptions for a Tertiary level qualification or higher degree.

  6. CPCCBC4010 Apply structural principles to residential and commercial constructions
  7. CPCCBC4013 Prepare and evaluate tender documentation
  8. CPCCBC5001 Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for Type B construction
  9. CPCCBC5002 Monitor costing systems on complex building and construction projects
  10. CPCCBC5003 Supervise the planning of onsite building or construction work
  11. CPCCBC5010 Manage construction work
  12. CPCCBC5018 Apply structural principles to the construction of buildings up to 3 storeys
  13. CPCCBC4005 Produce labour and material schedules for ordering
  14. CPCCBC4008 Supervise site communication and administration processes for building and construction projects
  15. CPCCBC4009 Apply legal requirements to building and construction projects

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Students must have completed Year 12 or equivalent or AQF Certificate or higher.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) IELTS 5.5 with nothing less than 5 in any band or TOEFL IBT 46 or PTE 42 or CAE 47 or equivalent level from an approved ELICOS College.
