Project Managers are sought-after across a range of industries and it is a job that is challenging yet rewarding at the same time. Diploma of Project Management course is the ideal qualification for individuals seeking to gain intermediate project management knowledge.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a few industry sectors. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Project Manager and Project Team Leader.

Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical, and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

Course Structure

The course is based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and follows the project management lifecycle from project planning and governance considerations through to project implementation and project completion. This course is delivered over a duration of 104 weeks which is organised over a four 10-week term per year framework. There are face-to-face formal teaching amounting to twenty hours per week with simulated workplace activities (role-plays, oral presentations, conducting meetings, obtaining feedback from workplace etc) to assess the required performance criteria and is supported by online learning resources (lecture slides, full learner resources, supplementary videos and online reading resources, additional relevant references, webinars as well as a weekly discussion session) aid a learner's volume of learning for each unit of competency.

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Applicants must have completed a minimum of Australian Year 10 satisfactorily or equivalent or Australian AQF qualification at least to Certificate IV level (AQF Level 4) or higher.
Minimum Age to Apply Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Applicants must have suitable language skills; IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
