Course Structure

The ability to switch between focused and unfocused attention is an important skill for the development of creativity. This project gives you an opportunity to reach a state of flow, it is a mindful practice using visual art to connect with your imagination. Anyone can do this program without any previous visual art schooling.

Sensory perception is also a key parameter for the development of imagination, as is symbolism and metaphor. Dorsey Smith, Aboriginal artist illustrates and recontextualises these possibilities within this course.

We need to find time to give our brains a pause. If our minds are constantly processing information, we never get a chance to let our our imagination develop. V8_The Lily and the Billabong is an opportunity for you to engage in a non-process-driven mindful practice - or unfocused attention. Consider it “play” for adults.
