Course Overview

BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication has been designed as a pathway from the Diploma level course. This course focuses on the higher-level management skills based on sound theoretical knowledge of marketing in the context of a business strategy. It looks at Australian and international marketing trends with a focus on Asia Pacific marketing.

Students study includes market research techniques, business and marketing risk management, international marketing, organisational marketing objectives and advertising campaigns.

Leadership, business innovation and organisational change is also covered for roles expected to be at a director or project leader level in a business or organisation.

DELIVERY STRUCTURE – A BLENDED MIX OF CLASSROOM AND ONLINE

The course is offered in a blended mode of delivery and assessment. This means students are required to attend 15 hours face-to-face full-time classroom study plus complete 5 hours of structured online learning every week.


The course is provided through the Mercury Colleges ELearn platform. Your teachers deliver lectures and tutorials face to face on campus plus students are to complete weekly study online through ELearn. Progress is tracked for every student.

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply International students must be over eighteen years old.
Academic Entry Requirements This course requires completion of 5 core units from the BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communications. Mercury College expects international students to complete the full Diploma level qualification prior to commencing the Advanced Diploma level.
Academic General Requirements:
Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) IELTS 5.5 overall (no less than 5.0 in each band) or equivalent test result, or General English / EAP at the Upper Intermediate level from an approved ELICOS provider
