Course Overview

This course will equip students to build and gain practical skills to effectively work in a range of human resources roles. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Advisor, and Human Resources Business Partner. Individual in these roles is likely to be determined at a workplace level. Some smaller organisations may require employees to work across all aspects of human resources. In larger organisations, individuals may support a single human resources function. Upon successful completion of all units in this course, students are eligible for the award of BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management.


Course Structure

To attain BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management, the BSB – Business Services Training Package requires students to complete 12 units comprising 7 core and 5 elective units.

Academic Entry Requirements
Local students must have a completed Year 12 or the interstate equivalent.

International students must have a successful completion of 12 years of schooling or equivalent to the Australia Higher School Certificate.

Mature age students (21 years and over) may be admitted into this program without formal academic qualifications provided that they have sufficient literacy and numeracy requirements.

Students who have previously completed a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Australia do not need to provide school certificates.

Any overseas/international learner who scores below the minimum level in the tests mentioned above, must have undertaken, or agree to undertake, an English language programme (ELICOS) of at least 10 weeks’ duration.
OR 
Any overseas/international learner who has completed a certificate IV or above qualification in Australia in an English-medium institution, is deemed to have satisfied College English language proficiency requirements.  Proof of completion must be provided at the time of application.
OR 
Any on-shore learner who does not have an IELTS/TOEFL/ PTE Academic/Cambridge score, or Elicos certification, may satisfy College English language requirements, if at the time of their application, they can demonstrate a Core Skills Profile for Adults Level 3 or above, in the ACER English language, literacy and numeracy test.
