Course Overview

  • This qualification provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain systems and equipments in buildings and premises.

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Successful completion of Year 12 or its equivalent.
Academic Entry Requirements
Candidates must be reasonably fit as practical work involves considerable amount of physical activity.  A wheelchair user or someone with significant physical disabilities simply may not be able to fulfil the requirement of the course.

You will need to find an employer and get an apprenticeship contract before enrolling.

There are some requirements that employers must adhere to, to be eligible to take on an apprentice or trainee. The employer might also be eligible to receive incentives. Eligibility is assessed upon submission of the training contract, you can find more information on available incentives here.
Academic Entry Requirements
To gain entry into UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician candidates are required to be apprentices who have entered into a Training Contract with Australian Apprenticeships NT. 
Must be 18 years of age or over.
Academic Entry Requirements
If you are currently employed as a Trade assistant you can sign up as an Electrical Apprentice, if you are not employed you will need to find a job as an Electrical Apprentice.

Language Requirement
English Language Requirements Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake a course at this level.
