Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.

They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems. 

Course Structure

There are 12 units to be completed during this course – 4 core and 8 elective units, in accordance with the packaging rules.

Academic Entry Requirements
  • Completed BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management or a relevant Business-related Diploma or
  • Other AQF Level 5 qualification and relevant work experience in a supervisory or leadership role or
  • Substantial amount of work experience in a leadership role (this will need to be reviewed and approved prior to application/enrolment)
  • advanced communication skills.  This will be assessed via a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test prior to commencing the training.
  • the ability to attend the scheduled sessions as per the timetable. Students are to be informed of the timetable on enrolment and must maintain the required student contact hours.
Minimum Age to Apply 18 years or above
