This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
This qualification consists of 12 units of competency including 8 core units and 4 elective units.
This qualification is delivered in a Blended Learning approach over 20 hours per week over a period of 52 weeks with 6 terms of study (6 weeks per term) and up to 16 weeks of holiday.
Students will be provided with access to the following resources required to complete the qualification successfully upon enrolment: Assessment booklets Student Workbooks and Resources, PPT Slides
Computers, MS Office or other relevant software, Unit of Competency.
Assessment is structured throughout the course. If students are unable to achieve competency, additional support is provided through academic support and access to re-assessment as outlined in our policies and procedures. Assessment requires achievement across all tasks to demonstrate competence and may include:
Written questioning and Exercises, Oral questioning, Project, Case Study analysis, Written Reports, Demonstration, Presentation, Role Play
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Course Credit
Students with prior learning and work experience can apply for RPL.
Students who have completed corresponding units of competency and/or units contained within the packaging rules can apply for Credit Transfer.

Students who complete this qualification can continue their studies by advancing to BSB61215 – Advanced Diploma of Program Management or any other relevant Advanced Diploma level qualification.
