Course Overview

This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders or senior managers within the building and construction industry who apply knowledge of building, construction and sustainability systems and processes, structural principles, codes, standards and legal obligations to construction projects including high rise.

Course Structure

The following 10 units of competency must be completed:

CORE UNITS:
  1. BSBWHS516 Contribute to developing, implementing and maintaining an organisation’s WHS management system
  2. CPCCBC6001 Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for large building projects
  3. CPCCBC6003 Establish, maintain and review contract administration procedures and frameworks
  4. CPCCBC6018 Manage processes for complying with legal obligations of a building and construction contractor
ELECTIVE UNITS:
  1. CPCCBC6007 Develop, plan and implement building and construction environmental management processes
  2. CPCCBC6012 Manage and administer development of documentation for building and construction projects
  3. CPCCBC6013 Evaluate concrete performance for multi-storey buildings
  4. CPCCBC6011 Establish systems to develop and monitor building and construction costs
  5. CPCCBC6005 Manage tender developments for major projects
  6. CPCCBC6009 Develop, plan and implement a building and construction planning process

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply To study at Danford College, all international students must be at least 18 years of age or above when the course starts.
Academic Entry Requirements All international students must meet a minimum academic requirement to gain admission to Danford College. Danford College requires the successful completion of studies equivalent to Australian Year 12 education as the minimum level of entry into our courses.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum)
International students must provide evidence of English language proficiency to Danford College. Students must have a minimum score of an internationally recognised English test.

For most Vocational course’s students are required to have a minimum IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) score of 5.5 overall with no band/sub score under 5.0 or equivalent English language tests as per accepted by the Department of Immigration.
