Course Overview

GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE
The General English Courses offered at AITE are designed to give you the confidence to communicate effectively in real-life situations.

The General English courses provide a balanced bundle which focus on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Essential grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and colloquial language will also be covered in the programs.

One of the main aims of the General English programs is to assist each student to attain their personal learning objectives with guidance and support provided by their teachers.

Regular evaluations are also done to identify the progress of effective language learning in students, during the course of the General English programs. Evaluations are also conducted to monitor and record the effectiveness of each course and also on how it addresses students’ needs.)
The design of the General English courses are stimulating and effective, with a variety of activities to develop students’ confidence, knowledge and skills:

This includes the following:
  • Lively presentation and practice of any new language
  • Gradual rapid development of oral fluency, accuracy and conversational skills
  • Systematic development of listening, reading and writing skills
  • Extension of vocabulary, structure and usage of grammar

There are four(4) levels of General English:

  • Elementary
  • Pre-Intermediate
  • Intermediate
  • Upper Intermediate

Learners must have completed Year 12 or an overseas equivalent
Minimum Age to Apply Learners must be over 18 years of age.
