This qualification reflects professional accounting job roles in financial services and other industries, including tax agents, accounts payable and accounts receivable officers, payroll service providers, and employees performing a range of accounting tasks for organisations in a range of industries.

Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a range of often complex problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
They apply initiative to plan, coordinate and evaluate their own work and provide guidance to others within defined guidelines.

Course Structure

To be awarded this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in the following 11 units:

Core:

  1. FNSACC511 Provide financial and business performance information
  2. FNSACC512 Prepare tax documentation for individuals
  3. FNSACC513 Manage budgets and forecasts
  4. FNSACC514 Prepare financial reports for corporate entities
  5. FNSACC516 Implement and maintain internal control procedures
  6. FNSACC517 Provide management accounting information

Electives:

  1. FNSACC505 Establish and maintain accounting information systems
  2. FNSFMK505 Comply with financial services legislation and industry codes of practice
  3. FNSINC503 Identify situations requiring complex ethical decision making
  4. FNSINC504 Apply ethical frameworks and principles to make and act upon decisions
  5. FNSPAY501 Process salary packaging arrangements and additional allowances in payroll

Completed year 11 or equivalent

Training Package
Completion of the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set;
OR
Completion of FNS40615 Certificate IV in Accounting or equivalent;
OR
Completion of FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Minimum score of 5.5 – IELTS, 46 – TOEFL, 42 – PTE, 47 CAE score or equivalent
