Course Overview

This course is for people working in the automotive industry who want a career as an automotive light vehicle mechanic. Students will learn how to service, repair and diagnose faults in motor vehicles weighing up to 4.5 tonnes. Students will learn how to diagnose service and repair faults in light vehicle engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes and electrical systems and components.


Course Structure

This course consists of a total of 36 units of competency, including the following 20 core units and 16 elective units.
