Course Overview

The CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry is a trade level qualification and provides students with necessary skills and knowledge to work on a building site in the area of construction carpentry.
Students will learn how to efficiently produce quality work in the building and construction, renovation and maintenance sectors of the industry. Major areas of study include interpretation of plans, measurements and calculations, use of power tools and equipment, installing flooring and constructing timber external stairs etc.
The course is primarily aimed at the residential sector of the industry where students will be able to construct domestic framework, formwork, scaffolding and footings. You will also gain the knowledge to be able to interpret plans and apply work health and safety to ensure you meet industry safety standard requirements at all times.

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Students must have completed at least Year 10 or demonstrated work experience.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) IELTS 5.5 with nothing less than 5 in any band or TOEFL IBT 46 or PTE 42 or CAE 47 or equivalent level from an approved ELICOS College.
