Course Overview

Learn about the music industry and gain some valuable knowledge about business. When you graduate, you’ll have the core skills, behaviours and values that the industry is looking for. You’ll also have what you need to be your own boss – to start a business or become an entrepreneur.
At AIM, we understand that every student has different goals and areas of interest. That’s why our Entertainment Management undergraduate course puts you in control.
You’ll master all the management essentials,?from marketing and artist management through to economics and entertainment law.
You’ll study through a combination of specialised lectures, tutorials and classes, actively engaging with students from other areas of AIM. You’ll develop your expertise and follow your interests through a vast array of elective choices. We can guarantee that what you’ll be learning will be as relevant and as up to date as possible. 

Course Structure

When you join us for this course, you’ll undertake

  •  9 Units of study specifically focused on Arts and Entertainment Management. Units include Digital Marketing, Promotions and Publicity, Marketing Research, Strategic Development and Negotiation.
  • 9 units of study focusing on general business management. Units such as Music Publishing, Consumer Behaviour, International Business, Financial Management, Venue Management, Governance and Business Planning.
  • 9 Associated Units to broaden your knowledge and let you hone in on your area of specialisation. Units such as Creativity, Entertainment Law, Project and Event Management, Managerial Culture, Media Law and a choice of Electives.

Academic Entry Requirements

Applicants with completed secondary education matriculation in the last 2 years (NSW HSC or recognised equivalent)

OR

Applicants with recent Higher Education (tertiary) study – at least 6 months full time (at Bachelor degree level or higher) from an internationally-accredited institution
OR
Mature age applicants (21+yrs) not meeting the above criteria but with sufficient previous work / life experience deemed relevant by AIM.

Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Applicants obtain an English Language Proficiency IELTS accreditation score of 6.0 or higher, or failing that, have enrolled in an accredited English for Academic Purposes pathway program.
