Course Overview

This program focuses on the special challenges associated with selecting, installing and supporting systems which support business processes, data analytics and information flows within an organisation and with key external parties such as suppliers and customers, across a wide range of sectors and industries. As graduates will mainly be employed in businesses and similar organisations, this program provides students with foundational knowledge and skills drawn from those disciplines which are essential in the management of a modern business – accounting, statistics, business information systems and communications – so that they understand the context within which these systems operate. Students will be working with a contemporary industry standard enterprise systems software such as SAP and will have opportunities to interact with industry through guest lecturers, industry visits and case studies.

Academic Entry Requirements

ATAR: 60 (minimum) or equivalent

Academic Entry Requirements

International applicants with recent secondary education (within the past two years)	Successful completion of a school leaving examination**.
Domestic applicants with recent secondary education (within the past two years)	ATAR of 60 (minimum), or equivalent.
Applicants with higher education study	Successful completion of at least one unit of study in an accredited higher education program.
Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study	Successful completion of at least one unit of competency with a theoretical focus within a qualification at Diploma level (AQF 5) or higher.
Applicants with work and life experience (finished secondary education more than two years ago)	A demonstrated ability to undertake study at the required level, due to relevant and appropriate work and life experience. This can be demonstrated through: broadly relevant work experience; and/or formal, informal or non-formal study completed or partially completed; and/or written submission.
Special considerations	Applicants will be considered for admission based on special considerations or disadvantage who can demonstrate ability to undertake study at the required level.

Internship or Work Placements

Students enrolled in AIBI courses have the opportunity to undertake The Internship unit, a practical subject designed to be the start of life-long learning bridging formal studies and the workplace. The unit allows students to spend a minimum of 150 hours and maximum of 6 months working with an employer on a project related to their discipline of study.
