Course Overview

This qualification reflects the roles of support workers who completed specialised tasks and functions in aged services either in residential, home or community-based environments.

Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality services delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters

Course Structure

It is planned that a student will complete all 16 units of competency within 52 weeks, of which:

  • 13 are core units
  • 3 are electives

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Completed year 12 (HSC or Equivalent)

Minimum Age to Apply Student should be 18 years of age or over

Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Provide IELTS certificate showing a score of 5.5 or above (or equivalent)
