In the Diploma of 2D Animation we prepare your animation skill level to that of junior animators, exposing you to the professional, technical and personal skills required of contemporary animators. Because of our specialist knowledge in this area, AIT is very well-known within the animation industry for producing quality 2D Animation graduates.
The final trimester of your Diploma is dedicated to you building a solid piece of 2D animated work with expert guidance. It is here where you will construct a professional portfolio piece, ready to showcase your talent to the sector.
It depends on how many subjects you take, but as a guide, each subject is a 3-hour class + 1-hour own study. International students need at least two subjects (normal eight subjects per year).
You can take a max of 4 subjects/classes a week (Term of 14 weeks).

Through our embedded industry preparation and portfolio building subjects, we ensure our students have a competitive advantage. Our professional internship program gives bachelor degree students an opportunity to complete a 120 hour internship as an elective - giving them valuable on-the-job experience and a network of meaningful contacts.
The internship is offered in the Bachelor's Degree Program.
